HISTORIC WATER MILL.
DESTRUCTION BY FIRE. INSPIRATION OF POETS. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received October 31, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON. Oct. 31. Fire has destroyed a historic water mill at Orantchester, in Cambridgeshire, which dated back to the year 1280. The mill was mentioned by Chaucer, and inspired Tennyson's poem, "'lhe Miller's Daughter." and was the subject of a poem by the late Rupert Brooke.
