MR. JOSEPH CANNON. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK. Nov. 12. The death iias occurred at Danville, Illinois, of Mr. Joseph. Cannon (known as "Uncle Joe"), formerly Speaker of the House oi Representatives, aged 90. The late All*. Joseph Gurney Cannon was admitted to Illinois Bar in 1808. Ho was State Attorney 1861-8 and entered Congress in 1353. He was Speaker of the House of Representatives ISG3-11. He received 58 votes for nomination as Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States in 1008s
