NEW SEAPLANE RECORD
OVER 246 MILES AN HOUR. ITALIAN AVIATOR'S FEAT. Australian .md N.Z. Cable Association. (Becd. 5.5 n.m.) NEW YORK. Nov. 13. A message from Hampton Roads, Virginia, states that a new world's seanlane record was established to-day by Major Mario Debernardi, an Italian, who won the international race for the Schneider trophy. He covered a triangular course of 350 kilometres (over 217 miles) at an average speed of 246.4 miles an hour.
