NO PENNANT GAMES PLAYED. POSTPONEMENT DUE TO RAIN. CLUB MATCHES CONTINUED. The recent heavy rain compelled the postponement of the first round of the pennant bowling competition in Auckland on Saturday. The greens of the Auckland. West End and Ponsonby Clubs were reported to be unfit for play, and it was deemed advisable to iiostpone all pennant matches. March 5 has been reserved as the date for playing postponed pennant matches, and | the first round will be played then. The I second round fixtures will take place a3 arranged on December» 4.
