DAMAGES FOR HUSBAND.
ISSUE IN DIVORCE SUIT. JURY AWARDS SUM OF £1250 CASE HEARD AT NAPIER. [BY telegraph.— press association.] NAPIER. Sunday. The separate trial of an issue betweo the petitioner and the co-respondent in divorce suit, which has yet to bo triec was continued in the Supreme Court ye: terday before Mr, Justice Ostler and jury. The petitioner, Walter Austin Orbel farmer, claimed from tho co-respondeni Henry A. Mossman, financial agent, c Hastings, the sum of £2OOO. The ground of the claim were alleged misconduct be tWeen Mossman and Orboll's wife. The defence was an absolute denial c tho charges. Tho jury deliberated for three hour and gave a majority verdict for plaintii for £1250 damages. His Honor said he proposed to reserv tho question of what was to happen t< the money awarded as damages until h had heard tho petition against th.e respon dent on his return from Gisborne nex week. Petitioner was allowed costs on thi highest scale.
