She i 3 loading at tho King's Wharf. Tho Kaimanawa sailed from Whangarei at 10 a.m. on Friday with a cargo of cement for Wellington. The Wanaka arrived at Bluff from Northern porta at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Tho vessel loads a part cargo at Bluff and sails to-morrow for other southern ports to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. The Wainui arrived from East Coast ports yesterday afternoon and berthed at the Queen's Wharf. She sails for Tokomaru Buy. Gisborne and Napier at 5 p.m. tomorrow. Mr. K. Don, third officer of the Flora, lias left the Union Company to become master of the Cook Island Trading Company's schooner Huarua at Rarotonga. The Katoa, en route from Southern ports, was to leave Lyttelton at noon on Saturday for Wellington. Napier and Auckland. She is duo at this port on Thursday. Tho Kamona was to leave Greymouth at 9 p.m. on Friday for Westport to complete loading for Auckland. She is due here about Wednesday morning. OOMA FROM NAURU. The steamer Ooma arrived from Nauru Island. via Australia, oil Saturday morning und berthed at King's Wharf to discharge 4500 tons of phosphates. The vessel proceeded from Nauru Island to Sydney where sho discharged tons of phosphates. She then went to Newcastle for bunkers. Moderate to fresh south-east winds and a high south-east swell prevailed in the Tasman Sea and light winds and smooth seas on tho New Zealand coast. After discharge at' this port tho Ooma goes direct to Ocean Island to load a cargo of phosphates for Australia. Built in 1905 the Ooma was first named tho Claverhill and then the Croxteth Hall. Sho is now owned by Messrs. Crossley and Company, of Melbourne, but her port of register "is Suva. Her carrying capacity is 0300 tons Most of the time she is engaged in the phosphate trade. CITY OF WINCHESTER AT LONDON. An arrival at London on Wednesday was the steamer City of Winchester from New Zealand. She was loaded by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company-and despatched from Auckland on May 1. MAUNGANUI DUE TO-MORROW. The Union Company's inter-colonial steamer Maunganui sailed from Sydney at 5 p.m. on Friday with passengers, mails and cargo for Auckland. She 13 duo tomorrow morning. WARNING TO MARINERS. The Marine Department advises that Godley Head fog signal is out of order and will not he working for several days. CANADIAN CONQUEROR AT NEW YORK Tho Canadian Government steamer Canadian Conqueror, which sailed from Auckland on May 12 for New York. Boston and Montreal, arrived at New York on Juno. li>. THE HERTFORD. Tho Federal Line steamer Hertford was to leave Wellington on Friday for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland to complete loading for West of England ports. Sho is to be despatched finally from this port ou June 30. WAITOMO FROM NEWCASTLE. The Union Company advises that the Waitomo was despatched from Newcastle at 7 p.m. on Thursday with a cargo of coal for Auckland. Sho is due on Wednesday. TOFUA SAILED. A departure from Auckland on Saturday .afternoon waa the Union Company's island steamer Tofua with passengers, mails and cargo for Fiji, Samoa and Tonga. Sho is duo back at this port on July 13. ORARI DUE THIS MORNING. Tho Now Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Orari is duo this morning from Wellington. The vessel will berth at the Central Wharf to completo loading for London and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. Sho is to be despatched from this port for London on Thursday. PAPAROA DUE DAYBREAK TO-DAY. A wireless message from the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Psparoa states thai she will arrive at Auckland at daybreak to-day. She will berth at the Prince's Wharf. The vessel is from New York with a cargo of case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin FLORA LOADING. Tho Union Company's Island steamer Flora arrived from Rarotonga. via Wellington, on Saturday morning and berthed at tho King's Wharf. She will discharge a part cargo of Cook Island fruit and will load again for Eastern Pacific. Island ports. Sho is to be despatched on Wednesday for i Rarotonga, Mangaia, Mauke, Atiu and Aitutaki, THE LAMB STEAMER OMANA. Tho Lamb steamer Omana. Captain J. Benton, arrived on Saturday morning with a cargo of coal end poles from Newcastle and Port Stephens. Sho is berthed at the Central Wharf. Moderate to fresh _ headwinds and a high swell was experienced to Cape Maria Van Diemen. Conditions improved afterwards. The Omana will discharge her poles at Auckland and part of her cargo of coal at Tauranga. She then proceeds to Kainara to complete discharge to load a cargo of timber for Australia. RICHARDSON LINE STEAMERS. The Richardson Line steamer Awahou arrived from Gisborne yesterday morning and berthed at the King's Wharf. Sho is to bo despatched for East Coast bays and Oisborne at 0 p.m. to-morrow. ' The Putiki is due to-day from Gisborne for overhaul. It is expected that she will bo recomniissioned about June 30. Tho Mako is due from Nanier tomorrow and she is to sail for East Coast bays on Wednesday or Thursday. MOTOR-LINER AORANGI IN PORT.. An arrival at Auckland yesterday was the Union Company's motor-liner Aorangi from Vancouver. The vessel anchored in the gulf shortly before noon to check tho error in her wireless direction finding compass. The work occupied about two hours. During that time the vessel was medically examined and cleared by the customs. Besides cargo and mails the Aorangi brought 122 passengers for Auckland and a further number for Sydney. Cargo operations will bo completed this evening and tho vessel will resume her voyage at eight o'clock to-night. Since leaving Auckland the Aorangi has done some fast steaming. She sailed'from this port for Vancouver on iMay 13. after being delayed here for 24 .hours by wet weather. Fine weather prevailed on the voyage north ana the liner, besides picking d&p the time lost at Auckland, reached Victoria 12 hours ahea/J of schedule. From Auckland to Suva the speed was 1G.4 knots, from Suva to Honolulu 17.03 knots, and from Honolulu to Victoria 17.38 knots. Fine weather prevailed on the return voyage and from Victoria to Auckland an aferage speed of 16.8 knots waa maintained with the result that the Aorangi anchored in the gulf 1,8 hours ahead of schedule. TEKOA ARRIVED FROM LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping r , Company's steamer Tekoa arrived from London yesterday afternoon and berthed at the Queen s Wharf to discharge a large quantity of general merchandise. Tho remainder of her cargo is for Wellington, Lyttelton and New Plymouth. „ r , Tho Tekoa left London on May 15 and experienced westerly gales and high seas for four days. After the storm area was parsed fine weather prevailed for the remainder of the Atlantic crossing. Oil fuel tanks were replenished at Curacao on May i 28 and Colon was reached on May 30. Next day tho Tekoa cleared Balboa. Moderate variable winds and seas prevailed until the vessel was south of Pitcairn Island, then v/esterlv gales and rough seas were encountered until about four days from Isew Zealand when the wind changed to the southeast and blew hard from that direction until the Tekoa was neanne port.
