THEFT OF BICYCLE.
TWO YEARS' PROBATION. [B? TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Saturday. Charged with theft of a bicycle, which he attempted to dispose of to a secondhand dealer, Norman John Murray, aged 20, appeared before Mr. H. A. Young, S.M., in the Police Court, when Sergeant Cooper explained that the young man had been the principal witness in a recent sexual case and was of weak intellect. Accused was admitted to probation for two years on condition that he obtained employment with his father as a bricklayer. ________________ i
