MEETING AT MOUNT EDEN. A meeting of parents and others interested in the Ist Kitchener troop of boy scouts was held in the hall of the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church last evening. Mr. J. H. Address<ts were also given by the district commissioner, Mi. R. C. Grrgsby, the district secretary, Mr. E. B. B. Bcswell, Scoutmaster E. F. Mills, and tap Rev. L. H. Hunt. The following committee was ayvpoihted for the purpose of helping to cany on the work of the trrop:— Mesdnnes A. E. Mulgan, J. Anderson, Messi'S. A. G. Brown, P. Gordon, A. Dow, J. Shcrriff, G. F. Lane, and I. L. Aiksrm. The Rev. L. H. Hunt referred to the good work put in with the troop by Mr. A. S. Oxley, and also to Miss White' work in forming and carrying on the wolf cub pack in connection with this troop. A letter received from Christchurch by the district commissioner, Mr. R. C. Grigsby, dispels the idea that the Auckland Association did not wholly support the proposal to hold a scouts' rally at Christchurch. The letter states: "The executive desires to express its keen appreciation of your sympathy and coation in connection with the proposed rally, and to extend its thanks for the highly satisfactory support given the proposal by the Auckland scouts."
