J Two undefended divorce cases were heard by Mr. Justice Hosking at the j Supreme Court yesterday. r Misconduct formed the ground of th« , petition of Walter Ernest Youngman (Mr. I Inder) against Charlotte Helen Youngman. The petitioner said the marriage • took place in 1913, and there wag one child. He left for the front in 1917, and returned last March. His wife did not meet him, but he met her in the street later. She then told him she could not live with him again because she had misconducted herself 'with another man, and a child had been born. Formal evidence regarding the reystration of the birth was given, and a written admission of misconduct was handed in. Mr. Inder stated that the father of the child was now dead. A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute in three months. The respondent was allowed interim custody of the child of the marriage. The hearing of the petition of Jessie Gallagher (Mr. Inder) against William Gallagher, which had been adjourned from November 22 to enable more evidence to be called to support the allegation of misconduct, was resumed. Two witnesses stated that the respondent lived for some time in the house of the woman named by bim in his admission of misconduct. A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute in three months, and the petitioner was given custody of the younger child of the marriage, the other being in a home.
