"TOO SICK TO FIGHT."
POSITION OF GERMANY.
PARIS, Feb. 9.
American headquarters have received conflicting views from Germany, but General Pershing does not believe that the German Army could make war again. This is becoming the British view, and, indeed, the British diplomatic and military reports indicate that Germany is too sick to make an armed effort. v "We can regard them militarily as finished,'.' said a high authority, " for at least a generation."
