DISASTER NEAR TRIESTE.
20 KILLED, 80 BADLY HURT.

A troop train, after climbing a steep ascent over a distance of 13,000 ft near Trieste, detached seven coaches containing 450 soldiers. The coaches descended the slope, and owing to a shunting error rushed headlong a distance of 10 miles in 10 minutes, and crashed into the Trieste terminus. Twenty men were killed and 80 seriously hurt, while 250 suffered lesser injuries.
