POTATO EXPORTATION.
GRANTING OF PERMITS.
CONSIDERATION BY. CABINET.
In regard to the representations by the Auckland Provincial Executive, of the Farmers' Union, in respect' to the prohibition of the export of potatoes, a telegram has been received by the president of the union, Mr. J. Boddie, from the Acting-Prime Minister, Sir James'Allen, stating that the matter was being placed before the Board of Trade for consideration. A telegram, has also been received from the Dominion secretary of the Farmers' Union, stating that the matter was now being considered by the Government, and that there was some hope that permits for export would be granted.
