SWIMMING ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF DELEGATES.
A meeting of the Auckland Centre of tie Amateur Swimming Association waa held in the Sports Club last evening. Mr. A. J. Fernandez presided.
Delegates who will attend the Dominion conference were instructed, to press the ccntre'B claims that championships, particularly junior championships, be held in Auckland next season. " The Auckland centre," said Mr. Wright, secretary to the centre, " must look aiter itself if no notice is taken of it from the governing body." Members advocated equal division of Government grants to swimming bodies. It was decided that all applications for the use of the tepid baths must be sent through the centre. The Waitemata Club was authorised to hold a carnival on March 11 and the Akarana Club on March 17.
