MILKING ON SHARES.
QUESTION OF BONUS PAYMENTS. Legal argument was heard by Mr. Justice Cooper at the Supreme Court yesterday on a summons to set aside an Arbitration Award. The plaintiff was Hubert C. Hay (Mr. McConnell), share-milker, of Patamahoe, and the.defendant Joseph Henry (Mr. Hadflow), storekeeper ana farmer, of Patamahoe. The facts were that the arbitrator had decided that where a sharemilker agrees to take one-third share of the monthly milk cheque, this does not include a one-third sMare of the bonus usually given by a dairy factory company at the end of the season. The plaintiff contended that this decision was wrong in law, and moved to have the award set aside. His Honor reserved his decision.
