FATAL BUSH FIRES.
298 DEATHS REPORTED.
TWENTY-ONE TOWNS DESTROYED. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK, Oct. 14.
Twelve thousand refugees from tho forest fires have arrived at Duluth, on Lairs Superior. More than 100 bodies have also been brought in. Men, women and children died in tho flames within a short distance of the special rescue trains as tho firo was swept forward by a strong wind.
Tho property loss amounts to millions of dollars. 1
Twenty-one towns were destroyed' by the fires, The death-roll totals 298, while 100 were injured.
