ALLIED OFFENSIVE IN FLANDERS ON 28-MILE FRONT.
BRITISH FLEET CO-OPERATING FROM THE COAST. ATTACKING TROOPS PENETRATE AS FAR AS ISEGHEM. * Australian and N.Z. (Received 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 14—7.45 p.m. The new allied attack in Belgium is on a front of 28 miles, from Wervicq, eight miles south-east of Ypres, to the Yser. The Allies have reached Iseghem, four miles south-east of Roulers.t British naval forces are co-operating off Ostend. The British, French, and Belgians are co-operating in the offensive, which is designed to give the Allies possession of the Flanders ports. The French captured 3000 prisoners on the.portion of thd front they attacked.
The Evening News reports that the Allies have captured Roulers, 12 miles north-east of Ypres, and are four miles north of Courtrai, 16 miles due east of YjJres.
