CHINAMAN KILLED.
FATAL ACCIDENT IN STREET. RUN OVER BY BOLTING HORSE i A fatal' acoident occurred in West Street., Newton, yesterday afternoon, a Chinese market gardener named K\vok Lin dying of injuries received through being knocked down by a horse and cart, Lin, who was aged 29, and lived at Mangere, was loading empty cases in a right-of-way, and it is supposed that ono fell, startling the horse. In the endeavour to stop the animal deceased was knocked' down and died a few minutes later in a chemist's"shop, to which he had been removed. The horse bolted into Karangahape Road, travelling along the footpath for a whole block, being stopped at East Street. A peculiar feature was the cart collided with and broke a verandah post at each end of tho block. Neither horse nor caVt was damaged.
