AUCKLAND ANGLICAN SYNOD.

SESSIONS COMMENCE THIS WEEK. The Synod of the 'Anglican' diocese of , Auckland will commence :u :i its annual sessions this week. The first meeting in connection with the svnod will be a conference of the- Church of England Men's Society, to be held in St. Matthew's parish hall this evening. To-morrow will be , observed as a quiet day for the clergy and churchworkers, in St., Mary's Cathedral, .where services will be conducted by the Dean ot Nelson, Dr.. Weeks. Holy. Communion will be celebrated at 7.45 a.m., and other. services will be held in the morning , and afternoon. In the evening a'missionary meeting for the purpose of discussing Church extension and efficiency, will be _ held in the Town Hall concert chamber. Tha sessions of the synod-will be opened ,on Friday. ..There -(rillto" a. celebration • Of Holy. Communiow :;;at ' the cathedral at 8 a.m. The r synod* will assemble at the cathedral at 10.30 a.m., when the bishop will deliver, his charge. At 3 p.m. the synod will' meet in the synod hall, Bishopacourt,- for the transaction of business. .' ' V;- • '' ... , On Sunday the usual services will be observed. At 3 p.m. a memorial and intercessory service for the ' soldiers, and Bailors' of the Empire and will be held in the Town Hall; The general public axe specially invited; and ft collection will be taken in aid of the Church Army Hut Fund. , ' . The daily sittings of the synod will be resumed on Monday.
