In the afternoon. accompanied by Messrs. J A. Young and 1!. Bollard, M.P.'s. the Minister vis. Puketoha! where he received a deputation that urged the purchase of lard in the district for soldiers. To-day Mr. Guthrie will' recehe several deputations, and in the afternoon will open the Winter Show. To-morrow ho will visit Morrinsville and Kereone. At Matamata he will be joined bv the Minister for Railways, the Hon. W. H. Herries, who will accompany him to Rotorua, and for the remainder of his tour of the Bay of Plenty, Ohinemuri, and Thames districts.
