; I ■» J MRS. JOHN WHITNEY. * i mm . The death occurred on Tuesday of Mrs. t Harriet Sarah Whitney, wife of > Major John Whitney, Wenderholm, " Waiwera, at the age of 83. Mrs. Whitj ney, with her husband, came to Auckland 8 from England 32 years ago, and resided e for the whole of that period within the f province. She was a daughter of the late * Rev. William Chaworth-Musters, of Colwick Hall, Notts, England, and great-grand-daughter of Mary Chaworth, Aanes- , ley Park, Notts, who was made famous to the world through the medium of Lord a Byron's poems.
