THE NATIONAL RESERVE.
AMENDED RULES ADOPTED. IBY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Wellington, Monday. The Dominion Council of the National Reserve met last week, when there were present :Colonel Porter. LieutenantColonels Stoneham (Otago), Brandon (Wellington), Rogers (Marlborough), Troupe (Railway Engineers), Davy (Dominion Staff); Captain Whitney, of Auckland, representing the volunteer naval reserves; and Dr. Platts Mills, representing the Women's National Reserve. A telegram from the Minister for Defence was received stating that the Military Service Bill will not affect National Reserve men who are not of military age. The amended rules of the National Reserve were adopted. These dealt wiSh the composition, administration, and work of the reserve. New units must have a membership of at least 40.
