Among the causes, of the Arab revolt against Turkey were the severity of the Turkish Minister for War in executing several chiefs during a recent mysterious tour between Aleppo and Mecca, and also a widespread feeling that Islam was endangered by German ascendance and the Young Turks' free-thinking camarilla.
