INTERNMENT OF GERMAN
MAN ARRESTED AT MAUKU.
POSING AS NORWEGIAN.
Acting under the War Regulations, the Pukekohe police, on Sunday, effected the arrest of a resident of Mauku, who, under the name of Herbert Manson, has been living in the district for some time- He had been lately in the employ of the Franklin County Council. He claimed to be a Norwegian, but police investigation elicited the fact that he was a German, and that his real name was Bernard Lohkamp. He was brought from Pukekohe yesterday and handed over to the military authorities at Devonport for internment.
