FRENCH CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS.

The annual meeting of the French Club was held last night, Professor Maxwell Walker presiding.

The annual report and balance-sheet showed a satisfactory condition of affairs. The former stated that the club had undertaken the movement throughout New Zealand in support of the French Red Cross Fund, ana, thanks to its initiative, nearly £15,000 'had been collected. A portion of the amount hid already been forwarded to the Central Committee of the Red Cross in France, and an acknowledgment had been received. Special mention was made of the work of M. L. J. Duflou, general secretary, in this connection. , The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows Hon. president, M.
