GAME OF "SNAP-POKER."
INTERRUPTED BY CONSTABLE.
[BY TEI,ECRAPn.—PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] OnEYiiovTii, Monday. The licensee of the Trafalgar Hotel, Robert Knight, was charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with allowing gambling on his premises. A constable, seeing a light in the bar at 3.45 a.m. on Friday, made investigations. Ho entered by the top-storey, and came down the stairs and found defendant in a room watching three men playing "snap-poker." Money was on the talle. A conviction was recorded, and a fine of £7 imposed. 'Hie license was not endorsed, as the players were all boarders, and this was a first offence.
