"SINGULARLY UNFORTUNATE."
COMMENT BY THE TIMES. Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received April 27, 6.20 p.m.) London, April 27. The Times, in a leader to-day on Imperial defence, says the Imperial Government seems to be singularly unfortunate at present in its dealings with Australia and New Zealand. A number of the most important questions arc under discussion and on each of them constant misunderstanding and perplexities keep arising. Quibbles regarding the promised naval conference are not likely to make a favourable impression in the dominions concerned.
