YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS.
The sharemarket was quiet yesterday. In standard stocks, Bank of New Zealands (fully paid) were, on offer at £16 10s, and buyers quoted £16 ss. New Zealand Insurances were available at £6 4s, and buyers were prepared to give £6. Waihi mining shares changed hands at 44s 6d. Firmness was still maintained in Waihi Grand Junctions, which brought 27s 6d. For Talismans. 37s 6d was offered by buyers, and seller's asked 38s 6d. Ross (k)ld(ields were done at. 3s, 3s 2d, and 3s Id.
