MORE SHEARERS WANTED.

♦ r- - CANTERBURY'S \ DIFFICULTY. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Christchurch, Thursday. The back stations in Canterbury are having great difficulty in obtaining shearers owing to tie delay there has been in cut» ting-out the sheds on the front stations. At me station about a fortnight ago 13 rouseabouts and only two shearers turned up on the day fixed, for starting the shearing. Another station has only about half its number of men, and these are mcstly learners, so that the work is being done very slowly. The back country stations in Canterbury have had a splendid winter, one of the best for twenty yean or more, and there is now an abundance of feed. The wool is strong, but not so bright as Usual.
