BARROW MURDER CHARGE
ACCUSED CROSS-EXAMINED. By Telegraph.— a Association.— Copyright London, March 11. At the trial of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Seddon, who are charged with the murder of a boarder, Miss Barrow, by arsenical poisoning, Seddon was cross-examined for six hours. Asked regarding the finding of 90s in deceased's trunk, which had contained £210. sterling a few months before, he replied that workmen had been in the room, including a win-dow-cleaner. He admitted a want of frankness in concealing certain particulars regarding Miss Barrow's property when communicating with her relatives, but he disliked their demeanour. How the arsenic got in Miss Barrow's stomach was a Chinese puzzle. Mrs. ' Seddon testified that she accidentally knocked some fly-papers off a mantlepiece and placed them in a soup pla;e containing water. The plate remaned near the window until Miss Barrow's death.
