THE MAY HOWARD ARRIVES. The auxiliary schooner May Howard, Captain C Todd, arrived from Norfolk Island early yesterday morning, and, being granted pratique, berthed at Hobson-street extension. The master reports that the schooner sailed from Norfolk Island at 7 p m on December 3 and experienced strong south-east winds til reaching the Three Kings, thence calms till off Doubtless Bay. Here the vessel encountered a severe south-west gale and had to put into Whangarei for shelter. She left Whangarei at 1 two. on Monday last and arrived as above. The May Howard brought several passengers and a far-go of bananas, onions, hides, kumaras, and about 30 crates of poultry. She is expected to return to Norfolk Island on Saturday next. AUCHENDALE DUE TO-DAY. The #s. Atu-hendalc is due at Auckland this morning from New York, via Wcstport She ha« 14,000 cases of oil to discharge at this port and from here she will proceed to Wellington Lyttelton, and Dunedin. * : < . «.;, NEREHANA FROM LONDON. An early arrival at Auckland yesterday was the Tyser liner Nerehana, Captain Lidstone, which reached port at. 4.30 a.m. from Loudon and AnaItalia.' The Neiehnna left London on October 17, and experienced favourable weather until passing the' Cape of Good Hope, when heavy storms were encountered. continuing till arrival at Melbourne
