The present number of the Auckland Weekly News contains no less than 16 pages of highly interesting illustrations, the chief of which depict (ho principal scenes in connection with the Royal visit to Wellington. So well are the principal events of Wellington's Royal reception illustrated, that those who study this issue of the AUCKLAND W kkkia" News can gain a graphic and complete ideas of the whole reception. Special photographers to the Ai-cki-and Weekly News secured the best of positions at the great, functions, and present picture after picture in panoramic sequence
Excellent views are given of the wonderful Maori ceremonies at Rotorua. The historical value of these pictures has been widely recognised, and the public are eagerly securing them. Several of the Rotorua illustrations given in this issue surpass anything given before in artistic effect and genuine interest. Driving the first pile of the Tuaka.u bridge, which is to span the Lower Waikato and connect Auckland with an immense tract of fertile, country now being settled, is an event of great importance, and the pictures given of the ceremony will be widely acceptable. Portraits of the New Zealand recipients of honours conferred by the. Duke of Coinwall, sketches at the Auckland Military Gymkhana, and a number of miscellaneous pictures are included among the Auckland Weekly News illustrations, and make the, present number, which can now be obtained from all agents and runners, the best current publication in the colonies.
