BOYS' AND GIRLS' SIDES.-The two sides of the School are quite separate, while each in under the immediate supervision of the Headmaster. The Chief Maulers in each department undertake the work of the highest forms on both side* of the School The Girls' School is on the south side of the building, and they enjoy the use of the two lawn tennis courts. FEES.—These are : For Pupils in tho Lower School, if under the age of thirteen years, £2 IBs per term ; for all others, £3 10s per term, except that for two members of one family, both chargeable with the higher fee, it is reduced to £3 Ss each. All fees are payablo in advance to the Treasurer, who attends at the School to collect them on the first Tuesday and the following Monday in each term. COURSE OF INSTKUCTION.-The ordinary course comprises the usual English subjectsMathematics (including Arithmetic, Writing, Urawing, Latin, French, and Natural Science). Greek and Germ will be introduced should a sufficient demand arise The study of Latin is optional. Bookkeeping, Mensuration, and Shorthand are amongst the alternative subjects for boys. The school offers special Advantages for the study of Natural and Technical Science, the' Upper Forms having the use of a well-furnished Chemical laboratory. Science teaching is begun as early as possible. The subjects for the Lower Forms are Elementary Chemistry and Physics. In the highest form on the Boys' side the subjects taken are Chemistry (including Qualitative A»alysi->) and Electri ity and Magnetism ; in the highest form on the Girls' side, Botany and Heat. The course in Mechanical Drawing on the Boys' side, includes Piano and Solid Geometrv, followed by Working Dr-iwings from actual machinery. Pupils who have commenced with the ordinary course may, at the beginning 0/ ami term, substitute the alternative subjects for Latin. Drill and Gymnastic exercises «re compulsory for all not specially exempted. Class-singing is taught to those of the girls whose parents desire it. Arrangements can be made for lessons in Music outside the school hours. WORKSHOP. —Instruction and practice is given in Carpentering, Joining, anil Turning by Mr. Trevii hick in the School Workshop. The classes meet in the luncheon hour and after afternoon school. The only charge is for the actual value of timber used. BOARDERS.—The Headmaster is prepared to make such arrangements as will enable boys from the country to board either at his own house or with one of the Assistant-masters. THIRD TERM, 1894. The School will Re-open on TUESDAY, September 25, at a quarter-past nine. The Head Master will be in attendance at the School for the purpose of receiving parents and enrolling new pupils, from three to five p.m. on FRIDAY. September 2lit, to meet parents, and again on MONDAY, September 24, at nine am. the Entrance Examination, for the classification of new pupils, will be held at ten a.m. on MONDAY, September 24th. W. The first term begins on the Tuesday nearest to February 1, follow. <l by a vacation of three weeks. The remaining terms are also divided by a vacation of three weeks. The holidays occurring in term time are allowed for at the end of the last term. FEES-£3 3s per term over twelve years of age, and £2 2s under twelve years. Extra subjects by arrangement. All fees payable in advance. STATIONERY, &C.—Each pupil pays 5s a term for the necessary school material (exclusive of books).
