SHIPMENT OF LIVE CATTLE.
Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.
London, September 13. The Maori King's shipment of fat cattle arrived in good condition. The stores are medium. One store died. Owing to the regulations, they have to be killed at Deptford, the port of landing. Mr. Taller man and other experts pronounce the shipment a great success, and advise that in future they should be pastured a fortnight prior to shipment, which would increase the price three pounds. Sir S. Samuel protested against the cattle being killed at once, but without success.
