NORTH SHORE V. AUCKLAND.
The Auckland men crossed the water on Saturday and played their return match with the local team. Fourteen men put in an appearance to represent the "blue and whites." After a hotly contested gam 3 North Shore came off victors by two tries (4 points) to their opponents' nil. Reid and A. Burgess obtained the tries, and the shots at goal were entrusted to Wat brick, but both failed to score ; one was a really good attempt, the ball just dropping inside the bar.
