[■Received July 14, 3.30 p.m.] THE STEAMSHIP AUSTRAL. Melbourne, July 14. A telegram has been received announcing the arrival of the steamship Austral, all well, at Rio de Janeiro on the 12th instant. She put in to replenish her supply of coals. Unfavourable weather was experienced on the passage. [Received July 10, 12.20 a.m.] SUDDEN DEATH OF AN ACTRESS. Melbourne, July 14. Miss Blanche Stammers, the actress, died this morning after an illness of only a few hours. She took part in the performance at the Theatre Royal last night as usual. THE ARGUS AND NEW HEBRIDES. Melbourne, July 14. The Argushas despatched Mr. Julian Thomas (" The Vagabond") to report on the New Hebrides. SMALLPOX AND CHOLERA IN FIJI. Melbourne, July 14. Quarantine has been established here for vessels from Fiji, in consequence of a report that smallpox, cholera, and measles are prevalent there.
