QITY OF AUCKLAND. LOAN BILL, £200,000. Notice is hereby giren that tho City Council of Auckland intend to apply to the General Assembly of New Zealand at the present session for leavo to introduce a Bill to be called THE CITY OF AUCKLAND LOANS BILL, which Bill will contain the following provisions :— 1. To empower tho said Council to borrow on debentures a sum. not exceeding £200,000, bearing interest at the rate of five per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, and tho principal to be payable in fifty'years, with provision for a sinking fund. 2. That for thn purposes cf paying the sinking fund and interest of the aforesaid Loan, tho City Council skill have tho power to levy a special rate of one shilling and three* pence, always providing that the rates in the aforesaid City of Auckland shall not at any time from the dato of the passing of this Act exceed, with tho Library Rate levied, the sum of two shillings and one half-penny in the pound of tho annua} assessments thereof. 3. That of the sum so to bo borrowed only £100.000 shall be raise! during ISS4, nor exceeding the sum of £25,000 during each succeeding year. 4.
