THE THAMES. CALEDONIAN.—INSPECTION OP MAIN RUN OP GOLD. MOANATATRI.-GOOD STONE. OTAGO.—RUMOUR OF FRESH FIND. [fkoii our own correspondent.] Geahamstowx, 0 p.m. An* inspection of the Caledonian main run of gold, this afternoon, shows that it is in a splendid condition, and when it is fairly got at, tho amount of specimen stone that will be broken out will be considerable. Sholover have got through the hard ground in the shaft, and are now in a splendid country, sinking very rapidly—four feet since Saturday. Total depth about 204 feet. Com. mence to open out a level this week. Continue sinking at same time. Moauatairi have taken out good stone during the day. Rumour afloat of quartz being tapped in the Otago low drive.
