We may surely be excused for asking why this secret method of advertising for a master ? Have we not highly educated men in abundance in this colony ?—and are our own people Lo be ignored in favor of the New South Welshmen ? We li'ivo seen no notice in any of tile Auckland papers of such a probablo vacancy as is intimated by the advertisement quoted ; and there is a kind of hole anil corner appearance about the affair which is, to say the least of it, peculiar. We are sure that a satisfactory explanation will be gladly received in many quar:ers.
