The Soa Shell, Tauranga, and Lapwing , , from Napier, with cattle and sheep, arrived on Wednesday last. The Sea- Breeze, from Russell, also arrived the same morning. The ketch Courier, Captain Harris, arrived yesterday morning from Otago, with volunteers, and anchored off the Wynyard pier. The brigantine Jessie, Captain F. Ruwald. has been taken up by the Government as a guard ship for the Thames, and will in all probability leavo for that place this day. . H. M. S. S. Esk, Captain Hamilton, H. M. S. S. Miranda, Captain Jenkins, the Colonial gunboat Sanfi'iy, Captain Marks, and the S.S. Corio, will take their departure this afternoon for thei Thames, conveying troops, horses, and volunteers. The detachment of the Colonial Defence Corps, which arrived in town yesterday morning, under command of Captain Walmsley, will, we understand, embark on board the Corio this morning. The ship Trburnia, Captain Coote, vfll claar thin morning .for Guam, and sail to-monow. The barque Alice Cameron,. Ga.pfc.in. Barren, will sail positively for Sydney to-Eioww.
