It is bounded on the East by the Falls Farm, the property of S. H. Burningharn, Esq., on the North by the Matakana River, and has a waterfall of eighteen feet, suitable for a Flour Mill or Threshing Machine, with a never-failing supply of water at all seasons, and only a quarter of a mile from the boat landing. Adjoining the above, a Farm of no Acres, 20 acres of which is in cultivation, together with an Orchard and Nursery, well known for the fine fmit and fruit trees which it has produced. There is about 30 acres of Bush on this farm. It is bounded on the West and North by the said River, and is half a mile from the boat landing. The Smut in Wheat entirely prevented, and the ravages of Slugs, Grubs, Wire and Scissor Worms destroyed by dressing the Seed with Day’s “ Farmer’s Friend "and Wheat Protector,” which entirely supersedes the old way of pickling with BlueStone and all other preparations, being never known to fail: in packets with full directions, 2s. 6d. each, procurable through Chemists and Store-keepers.
