Knotty Points.— Johnson says he never was in a tight place but once, and that was when he had an insane bull by the tail. Had he held on, he would have b«en dragged to death over a stubble field ; while if he bad not held on, the critter would have turned round and gored him. Tho question now is, which did J.,hnson do, hold on or let go? The Duke ef Newcastle aaid that some alteration had been contemplated in the present division of the colonial tee, and until that was determined, he had not thought it hit duty to recommend her Majesty to fill op the vacancy caused by the. death of the late bishop.
