ITS INFLUENCE FOR GOOD. (Received Nov. 7, 8.35 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday. Mr Haldane, Secretary for .. ax, speaking at Oxfoi'd, said that whether tho Veto Conference failed or not, its iniiusnoe was for good. It was desirable that the great political parties should r.prpoach each other, and come closer to' on certain subjects. These approaches wero always tentative, and •night not, succeed ; but they were never made without some result. Whait was obscure became to -some extent translucent.
