OFFERS .TO "FRENCH INVENTORS. PARIS, Saturday. The Government is offering £50,000 for competition for the building of aeroplanes capable of flyingi 190 miles without a stop. Of those •eligible the West will receive £4OOO and an order for 10 aeroplanes at a cost of £I6OO apiece. A MEETING THAT FELL THROUGH DISSENSIONS AMONG PROMOTERS (Receiv-ed Nov. 7, 9.30 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, Saturday. The sum of £20,000 was subscribed for an aviation meet at San Francisco, but the gathering was not held because of internal dissensions among the promoters.
