TAXATION PROPOSALS. Press Association.—Copyright. LISBON, Saturday. The Government proposes to wipe out the deficit of £650,000 by increasing taxation on landed estates and buildings from five to twelve millions this •session. The Civil List will save £IOO,OOO, which will be utilised for abolishing town dues on meat and vegetables. Enforced payment of arrears of taxes wiil produce £270,000. After payment of the royal debt the revenue from the royal properties will be handed to King Manuel.
