AUCKLAND V. WELLINGTON.
WELLINGTON. Yesterday Between 5000 and 6030 people were present at the football match to-day between Auckland and Wellington. The weather was fine, and the ground was in splendid order. A fairly interesting game ended in a win for WeUington by 4 points to 3. The visitors forwards did not show to advantage, and Wellington had all the 'best of that department of the game. The backs were evenly matched. In the first spell Absolom scored for Auokland, but no goal resulted. In the second spell Wellington registered 4 points, through the agency of G.
