To the Editor. Sir— Recently there appeared a letter in one of your issues about the ('"of those grounds used for hatching o> .. », and I do not think it was noticed ''j#. i o action was taken by the Committee of the Acclimatisation Society, in whose hands I believe it was vestedi if for that purpose. I see that a citizen has started to put in some native plants and palms kindly given by Mr Percy Adams to make i.look a little more ornamental/and What is the good for on going through it yesterday I find that several .of them have been pulled up andthe tops eaten by tho horse that is still ruSng at largo. I am sure tliat if Mr McDonald waste see Sergt Dongan,^ aWs lav e sin B hlf ncf * I am, etc., NATIVE.
