ACCIDENT AT THE SHERRY.
As Mr William Thomas, of the Sherry, wa9 taking a dray load ot firewood to the Wangapeka dredge on Thursday, he was thrown from the load owing to the horse tripping. His feefc caught in the brake, and although he succeeded in clearing his body, one of the wheels passed over his right leg, the vesall being a bad comI P o J; lnd fracture below the knee. The o'. her leer wa s also bruised. Mr F. Harturd, W ho was ntar at hand, procured as i sistance, and Mr Thomas was driven to I the Nelson Hospital, where he is now j making invourable progress. The load o^ ! tiaber was a heavy one, and the result, j would baro been more serious had the j road where the accident occurred not been very soft.
