The Council meets pursuant to adjournment, at 5 o'clock to-morrow evening. NOTICES OF MOTION. 1. Mr. Oliver to move, That his Honor the Superintendent be requested to place on the Estimates the sum of 1,200, for the purpose of erecting a Cartbridge over the River YVaiiti, on the Great South Road. 2. Mr. Simmonds to ask the Provincial Secretary if it is the intention of the Provincial Government to erect a Foot-bridge over the Wai-iti River, in the neighborhood of the Wairaea Village, with the materials that remain of the small bridge recently removed from the Wairoa River. 8. The Provincial Solicitor to move the third reading of the Motueka Reserves Bill. ORDERS OF THE DAV. Further considerations in Committee on the Estimates. Barlow's Entertainments. — It will be seen by advertisement, that the inimitable humorist Barlow, promises a series of his entertainments in Nelson ; the first to take place this evening, at the Odd-Fel-lows' Hall. Barlow has established such a reputation for his vocal and instrumental powers, his delineations of negro character, and his odd imitative exhibitions, that little can be said to insure for him a large attendance on the occasion of his present visit. We doubt not a Nelson audience will have to endorse the language of a Calcutta bard ; We roared with laughter at each flash of wit Admired thee on the light fantastic toe We grinned, when Sambo burst into a fit And swore the blue tail'd fly torments him so.
