PERSONAL.
Messrs. J. T, Stone, D. Kerr, VV, Delamore and W. Thompson left by the southward-bound express this morning for Helensville to play a challenge game on behalf of the Whangarei Fowling Club against the local club for the White Cup.
Mr J. E. Henderson, son of Mr and Mrs J. E. Henderson, senr., of Whangarei, has passed in economies for the first section of the B-A. and B.Com. examinations. Mr Henderson, who is an old boy of the Whangarei High School, is teaching at Houhora.
Whangaroi friends of Miss Lowe, Plunket Nurse, will regret to hear of the death of her father, which took place at ■Christchurch. on Boxing Day. It will be remembered that Miss Lowe had to be relieved of her duties hei-J for six months owing to the serious state of Mr Lowe's health.
