PUBLIC HALL. „ The annual meeting of v tlic local Wblic Hall executive was held on Monday night, with Mr. E. S. Tremaine in the chair. Mr. R Hodge, secretary to the Hall Trustees, submitted a balance-sheet covering the past 21 months, showing a credit balance of £22 .15/ as at December 31, 1922 The balance-sheet was adopted, on the motion of Messrs. C. A. Whimp and V. Grantliam. Mr. E. S. Tremaine (secretary to the Ruatangata Entertainment Committee, submitted his report end balance-sheet in connection with the 10 social funciions held during the committee's ten.' of office This report was also adopted. Votes of thanks were accorded the rutgoing committee, many kindly remarks being freely expressed, Messrs. Hodge and Tremaine responding in terms of appreciation. The personnel of the new Entertainment Committee clected for the ensuing year is fis follows: Messrs. R. Hodge, chairman; E>. Tremaine (secretary; F. Yates, S. Grantham, W. Grantham, C. Beech, H. Grantham, V. Grantham, F. Whimp, I. Ellison, J. Thompson, H. Drake, W. Day, \. Hill and E. Morgan. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting. ' A meeting of the Ruatangata Entertainment Committee was held immediately afterwards, when a social evening was for Friday nearest the full of the coming moon. The date will be duly advertised. PERSONAL. Mr. V. Beech, last Wednesday morning, .upon consulting 'i doctor was advised to proceed to the hospital for treatment ( for apparent appendicitis. His many friends trust to hear of his successful and speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. F. Yates and family are at present enjoying a holiday sojourn at the seaside. Misses Lindsay and Morgan have returned from a splendid holiday spent nt Coromandcl and Auckland.
